Another Small Edit-Big Results Deconstructed & Reworked Project

I still had some ostrich feathers left from my previous projects and decided to put them to good use. The hand-sewn gray ostrich fringe is the perfect update to my Lamberto Losani top. It adds a nice touch of sophistication that could be paired with a skirt, dress pants or even jeans.

Please Note: Once I finished off the feathers, I felt the urge to do a little research ... into how they are gathered and dyed. I didn’t like what I found. Most feathers are plucked from live birds. This method sounded unnecessarily cruel. While I’m not vegan, I do consider myself to be eco-friendly.

So, naturally, I started researching alternative options. It took me an hour to find a vendor that sold cruelty-free peacock and ostrich feathers (my favorites). Going forward, the Etsy store pegasus22 will be my go-to resource for feathers.
