A Minor Fringed Jewels Project: My Deconstructed & Reworked Button Necklace

I scored this button necklace several years ago and hadn’t worn it for a few years.

What I really loved about it was the various textures and shades of black and white. I also loved that it had a sturdy wire connecting the buttons ... which meant it was adjustable. I knew it just needed a little more edge.

My tweak was minor, but added the edgy funk that I was craving. I simply replaced the silver chain that came with it. I removed it, then added multiple strands of gunmetal and a toggle closure (my favorite), with a single dangle chain.

I loved the results so much that I included it in my previous post.
