Fashion News of the Week

This week has been quite a busy one for fashion.

First, there was the British Fashion Awards (BFA). Then J.W. Anderson, one of the BFA winners, was selected to design a capsule collection for Versus. Next, Vogue Creative Director, Grace Coddington releases her book, A Memoir, and Alexander Wang was named the new creative director for Balenciaga.

Here's a story that might have been missed in all of the happenings:

Sylvester Stallone and Daughter Sophia-Rose Opens the Paris Debutante Ball

The Date: November 24th
The Place: Place de la Concorde, Hôtel de Crillon, Paris
The Event: Le Bal des Débutantes
The People: Debutantes make their entrance into the adult world with a total 330 guests invited to an exceptional evening. Among the guests are Sylvester, Sophia-Rose and Jennifer Stallone. Wife Jennifer and other guests looked on as Sylvester and his daughter, Sophia-Rose, opened the ball.

There were other famous last names in attendance. Bruce Willis, Andie MacDowell, Rosanna Arquette and Duran Duran’s John Taylor were just a few of the proud parents at the ball.

This year's ball is pretty major since it will be the last one at the special locale for some time ... The famous Hôtel de Crillon is closing for renovations.

The dresses were from couture design houses including Chanel, Dior, Gaultier, Valentino, Versace Atelier and new recruit: Julien Fournié.
