My Finds Celebrate Fabulous, Individual Style
There are so many versions of style out there ... classic, dramatic, sporty, celebrity, etc. I prefer to focus on true style. I think it's best to start with some definitions...
The combination of distinctive features of literary or artistic expression, execution, or performance characterizing a particular person, group, school, or era.
A person or thing that is very well known as being highly fashionable.

I see true style as celebrating individual style ... a unique signature style.
The famous style icons are known for their own distinct style. They don't follow trends. Trends are fleeting and speak of a herd mentality ... Icons are never part of a herd. They never blend in or follow others.
Style icons are confident, often bold, and most importantly, comfortable in their own skin. They are the trendsetters. Their personality is seen in their style and their style is a key element of their image.
Classic examples of style icons include Katherine Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Coco Chanel, Dorothy Dandridge, Audrey Hepburn, Diana Vreeland, Josephine Baker, Marilyn Monroe and Jackie O.
Modern examples include Sarah Jessica Parker, Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope, Anna Dello Russo, Lupita Nyong'o, Lady Gaga and Isabella Blow.
Next Level Living
My definition encompasses both style and an idea. It's decor, music, travel, dining and the arts. It's also the idea of celebrating the beauty in the world.
