Adding Reworked Layers with Edgy Details

I wanted to experiment a little more with adding layered pieces. Here’s what I did with three forgotten Bermuda Triangle Pieces...

Reworked Project I:
I guess you could say that I’m on a layer kick ... I created this black, funky layer by combining a wool skirt with part of a ruched, wool-blend corset-style top. I love how this piece makes my hand-painted (another one of my projects) jeans pop.

Reworked Project II:
I purchased these cargos from Anthropologie years ago and wore them often. They were originally a solid, muted pink. I decided to give them a camouflage effect after an accidental splash of bleach. I also added some grungy patches when an area was wearing thin.

This time, my change is just to try something different... I tapered the leg openings and added the bottom panels of a never-worn, beige (with touches of a pink bleed), denim vest for an avant-garde feel. I keep thinking that it now has a fun, “Raggedy Ann” vibe that I would totally pair with heels, wedge espadrilles or flats.
