One Deconstructed Top: Two Funky Reworked Shirts

These reworked shirts were my experiment in creating unique detailing, using unpredictable elements of the deconstructed top and incorporating a few raw edges.

I combined parts of my former top by Shirt with my John Varvatos (white) and Ellen Tracy (pink) shirts. The argyle v-neck insert panel and piped detail on the sleeves are courtesy of my former J.Crew sweater.

These two projects were are a testament of how stubborn I can be when I have a vision of what I want (I taught myself the basics of sewing via an ebook and YouTube.).

Two Bonus Experiments:
Here are two minor reworked projects... I combined my floaty Philosophy by Alberta Ferretti lace-up halter top (which I often wore as a scarf) with my Bordeaux drape top.

I decided to make this bold, funky & elongated, silk choker from my former, never-worn Tahari top. It's easy to dress up or down and I can't wait to rock this.
