Glam-Cycled: My Two Weekend Deconstructed & Reworked Designer Updates

I added a few next level, edgy touches to two designer pieces this weekend...

The first was a funky update to my In Love by Carling eyelet, open shirt/jacket. I scored this find years ago at a French wholesale importer's sample sale. I removed the sleeves, leaving the edges raw. I then added a frayed belted-style band, corset-style detailing and sheer fabric.

The formerly basic, shirt/jacket now has a subtle, defined waistline and gently flares out at the hipline.

Next, I wanted to update my draped Magaschoni skirt ... A style that was clearly a nod to the Burberry SS10 Collection. I added peplum-style detailing to the sides.

This new feature not only brings a new "flavor" to the look, but also elongates and slims the thigh area.
