|On Aura Tout Vu|
Bulgaria is known for its famous rose oil, which is used in some of the world’s most popular and expensive perfumes. The country is also known for its yogurt; often touted as being the healthiest yogurt in the world. I have recently felt a gravitational pull from the works of a few Bulgarian designers and had to share, as usual.
On Aura Tout Vu
This label has three co-founders, André de sà Pessoa (Portugal), Yassen Samouilov (Bulgaria) and Livia Stoianova (Bulgaria). The brand is known for its unexpectedly cool twist on fashion.
Maria Queen Maria
I recently featured the impressive background of Mina Kaye, the genius behind the label Maria Queen Maria, on Fashion & the Steal (Click here to view it.). Her accomplishments are impressive. Her work is striking and theatrical. I can easily envision her exploration of deconstruction on the Paris runway.
I have purchased a few items from Aakasha, and loved each piece. My Aakasha pieces instantly went into my "frequent flyer" rotation ... I wear them often. Aakasha's designs are definitely glam cush; sophisticated edge with a lush feel.
I recently discovered the fab designs of sisters Siyana and Marta. They named the label after their grandmother, Marcella, the true designer and inspiration behind it all. Their vision is to create designs with clean and edgy lines.
Demobaza is a fashion brand that was created in 2007 by Bulgarian designers Demo and Tono. Their designs are a funky, edgy take on the concept of deconstructive uniforms.
