Super Saturday is OCRF's signature event, a designer-garage sale that has in the past successfully raised millions of dollars towards ovarian cancer research. Through the generous contributions of top fashion designers, this "Rolls Royce of garage sales" (as dubbed by The New York Times) allows celebrities, supporters, and shop-a-holics alike to purchase designer goods at deep discounts to support our cause.

OCRF has partnered with QVC to bring you "QVC Presents Super Saturday Live", to allow at-home-viewers to take part in the shopping frenzy.

Standout Designers in Paris Haute Couture Fashion

I've always been a fan of Dior & Gaultier... the pieces are productions of fabulous drama. On Aura Tout Vous is the essence of imaginative artistry. The Fall/Winter 2011-2012 Armani collection featured several pieces I would love to wear.

However, my love is to focus on the relatively new labels showing at Haute Couture. You get the wonderful experience of emerging designers that are coming into their element in the most sophisticated fashion shows.

Stephane Rolland, a designer whose work I'm starting to recognize did not disappoint. Other designers that caught my eye ... Julien Fournié, YiQing Yin, Iris van Herpen and Maxime Simoëns.

Temptations

My eye has been wandering lately. Despite my best efforts to not look at temptations, I have coveted plenty. I am rather proud that I purchased only a few things. Somehow I have ventured onto an accessories kick.

Burberry has a bag that I totally don't need, but am soooo loving at the moment.

I've also become a fan of 80%20 shoes. They are super comfortable, sophisticated and very funky ... my favorite combination.

I've found some pretty unique items at Etsy. Be warned, shipping promptly is at the seller's discretion. I'm not the most patient person. This is a test for me.

Emerging Designer Profile: Kovalum

Kovalum is an Indian-inspired clothing line that is made in Canada. The year-old emerging design company also gives back. The jackets, polos and t-shirts are made from bamboo and organic cotton. Even the dyes and prints are eco-friendly. But Kovalum is not only eco-friendly, it also gives a portion of the proceeds to charity ... the Saint James Orphanage for girls in Alappuzha (formerly Alleppey), Kerala, India.

Kovalum was started by Mark Johnson, a former corporate lawyer from Toronto. After advising clients, ranging from start-ups to multi-nationals, including IBM, Nike and Visa, in addition to being on community boards and committees, Mark decided to dive into clothing.

I am loving the scarves ... made using traditional methods and natural dyes.
