Standout Designers in Paris Haute Couture Fashion

I've always been a fan of Dior & Gaultier... the pieces are productions of fabulous drama.  On Aura Tout Vous is the essence of imaginative artistry.  The Fall/Winter 2011-2012 Armani collection featured several pieces I would love to wear.

However, my love is to focus on the relatively new labels showing at Haute Couture.  You get the wonderful experience of emerging designers that are coming into their element in the most sophisticated fashion shows.

Stephane Rolland, a designer whose work I'm starting to recognize did not disappoint.  Other designers that caught my eye ... Julien Fournié, YiQing Yin, Iris van Herpen and Maxime Simoëns.

Designer Profile: Impressive Swank

Exotic with a touch of vintage influence ... that's how I would describe Impressive Swank.

Impressive Swank was born out of designer Raven Robert's love for unique jewelry and handbags. Raven's vision of the label; a collection of fierce pieces that are fashionable and fun ... a mix of timeless and contemporary items.

"Impressive Swank is for every woman. I’m very passionate about making simple beautiful IS, our line made up of sequins necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. You would never know they were sequins but that makes it all the more special." "Our Impressive Swank line is more inspired by stone pieces mixed with chain pieces."

The Impressive Swank line is made up of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings of natural stones with chain accents; plus simple pieces from the IS line by Impressive Swank. The line also features handbags, clutches and over-sized bags and other accessories including chiffon scarves.

Have a special piece in mind that you just can't find? Impressive Swank also accepts custom orders.

Temptations

My eye has been wandering lately. Despite my best efforts to not look at temptations, I have coveted plenty.  I am rather proud that I purchased only a few things. Somehow I have ventured onto an accessories kick.

Burberry has a bag that I totally don't need, but am soooo loving at the moment.

I've also become a fan of 80%20 shoes.  They are super comfortable, sophisticated and very funky ... my favorite combination.

My first pair

I've found some pretty unique items at Etsy.  Be warned, shipping promptly is at the seller's discretion. I'm not the most patient person. This is a test for me.

Profile of Emerging Bag Designer M.Clifford

The ultra-chic collection of M.Clifford has two constant inspirations; high fashion and luxe materials.

"Each M. Clifford bag boasts the designer's keen attention to detail and singular “effortless chic” aesthetic. Beautiful and elegant, these bags are constructed using the softest, most supple leathers and yet they are also highly functional with inside zippered pockets and compartments. From fabulous hobo styles in a range of textures and skins to classic carry-all styles, there is truly something for every uber-stylish woman."

Martha Clifford sold her successful catering business to follow her passion and launched her first collection in 2007. Great decision! Her bags are a sophisticated treat.
