The Latest on Lanvin for H&M

Lanvin & H&M presented their Haute Couture Runway Show yesterday in NYC. This was all to kick off the collection, which will be sold in around 200 stores worldwide. It will launch November 20 in US and Canada, and on November 23 in the rest of the world.

Last night Sofia Coppola, Andie MacDowell, Emma Roberts, Leelee Sobieski, Anna Sui, Tory Burch and Alexander Wang, among other guests, came out to celebrate the collaboration of the Lanvin for H&M collection and to enjoy show stopping designs by famed Lanvin artistic director, Alber Elbaz, at The Pierre hotel. The haute couture creations, which were customized pieces from the Lanvin for H&M collection, made their way down the catwalk with the help of famed models Asia Chow, Pixie Geldof, Dree Hemingway, Olga and Anna Dello Russo.

Guests arrived on the red carpet, which was the landmarked Pierre Hotel façade recreated with NYC styled graffiti, and then they entered the hotel which was swathed with flowers, trees and greenery. It was a runway show that guests will not soon forget.

“It’s such a fantastic experience to see how creatively Alber Elbaz uses his designs to form a couture experience for our exclusive fashion show in New York. Working with this incredibly gifted designer has been like an ongoing fashion moment, and we’re thrilled to offer his masterpieces to our customers.” Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M.

Do You Love Yourself Some Shades?  You Won't Want to Miss This Weekend's Event

This weekend, Gucci is presenting exclusive access to “Eye Want You,” a new Facebook Application featuring eyewear from the Gucci Eyeweb Collection designed by Creative Director Frida Giannini. The viral video application will live on the Gucci Facebook page and allow users to create and deliver their own personal messages to friends.

“Eye Want You” breaks ground as a uniquely interactive application that allows users to share their moods with friends through customized video messages from Gucci models wearing the new eyewear from the Gucci Eyeweb Collection. Based on their own mood, visitors select a video message to personalize with eyewear of their choice and with their own “Eye Want You” message to the recipient. A total of 36 viral video clips are available from a selection of six moods, which include dreamy, sexy, dramatic, intense, energetic and happy, and four new styles of eyewear for both male and female.

Once created, the video message can be shared on Facebook friends’ walls or sent through as a private message. The “Eye Want You” Application is both iPad and iPhone friendly and will grow to 60 video clips by 2011.
